6/30/20

6-foot-2, 185-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a tall stance with a compact load. Bat speed is some, has simple swing plane and level finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Recorded a time of 7.27 in the 60-yard dash. A catcher that has continued to add strength to his game.

‘21 grad that has really gotten stronger which shows in his offensive approach. Slightly open, upright stance with a very small toe tap that allows him to get the barrel to contact on time. The bat path is fairly level and he does a nice job getting extension through the zone. He was up to 88 mph exit velocity. Behind the plate, he showed nice footwork with no wasted action on the throw to 2B, which was fairly consistent on the 2B bag. Very athletic catcher that can also play other positions on the field.

Pop Time: 2.10-2.20 Catcher Velo: 71 Exit Velo: 82 Home to First: 4.47

6 ft 2, 170 lb, well proportioned athletic build. Offensively, showed a very smooth simple line drive approach, with plenty of power potential to show up in the future. Has a very slow, simple load, while still getting very good separation in his hands, producing hard line drives all throughout the field. Looks to be a middle-of-the-order power hitter that can do damage. Defensively, looks very relaxed behind the plate, with a very quick exchange to second base and very good body control. Accuracy is there and carry looks to project as he fills out his frame even more. With his athleticism, could potentially be a corner infielder as well in the future.

6/25/19

Starting from an upright stance, Hirschler has a very simple swing. Most of the balls that he barrelled up were to his pull side during BP. Has a top tap for his load. Likes to pull the ball. Defensively, the arm strength (80 mph) was one of the best at the event from the C position. His best pop time was 2.24, but will get trimmed down once his feet get quicker.
