The ‘20 grad jumped out during the OF portion as he showed tremendous arm strength with an 88 mph OF velocity. The ball stayed on line and had some major carry. Good athlete that runs well also. Even stance with the feet at the plate with a small toe tap approach which allows him to be on time with the barrel. Showed a mostly flat swing plane which consistently produced hard contact and pull side line drives. The guy is a competitor with plenty of skills to match.
No doubt, a gamer! Very nice athlete that doubles as a 2B/OF. Ran a 7.02 60 yard dash and was 88 mph exit velocity off of a tee. He was 77 mph IF velocity but really plays low to the ground with the glove and the transfer is very quick. Solid glove presentation. In the OF, the athleticism speaks for itself and he was up to 92 mph from the OF with the arm. At the plate, the stance is even and the bat path is level through the zone. Showed a short, compact approach with nice top hand strength. The bat speed is there as well. May not be the biggest player but plays much bigger and has plenty of strength and athleticism in his game. Will make someone a nice ‘20 addition.
