Power: 89.4 max exit velocity, averaged 83.4 mph. 329’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. Short, compact arm circle from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: 1.98- 2.03 pop times. Flashed accuracy on throws. Presents pitches in and around the zone. Steady hands.
Run: 7.34 runner in the 60.

Position: C/SS

Body: 6-foot, 175-pound proportional frame.

Hit: (LHH) Started in a wide athletic stance with a compact load, then used a short stride. Explosive bat speed. High finish, simple upward swing. Gap to gap approach.

Power: 89 mph exit velocity, average 84.65 mph. 65.09 mph bat speed average. 19.59 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 2.06-2.10 pop times. Rhythmic footwork, quick exchange. Above average. Clean setup with above average flexibility.

Arm: 68 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Speed: 7.47 (60-yard).

Big time left handed bat that can play a number of positions other than catcher. 

C Ty Sanderson (2023) is a young catching prospect that has really progressed with the bat of recent and is being called on to produce in the middle of the order. We have seen Sanderson use the whole field on a consistent basis and Tuesday night was no different. Facing an elite arm (AJ Causey), Sanderson never looked overmatched and ended the night with 2 base hits. The first was a fastball out of the plate that he did a nice job keeping the hands inside contact and promptly served it back up the middle for an early RBI single. The second was simply a nice piece of hitting as he took a fastball with arm side action away from him the other way for a single. Sanderson shows athleticism behind the plate and is natural blocking balls in the dirt. The catch and throw skills are pure and added arm strength will only assist in his development. Sanderson can also play either middle infield position. Sophomore whose stock is rising rapidly.

C/SS Ty Sanderson (2023) is one of the top backstops in the sophomore class in Alabama, but he can also play at other positions with versatility that he brings to the table. A 6-0, 175-pound left-handed hitter, Sanderson has always been a constant in-game performer at every level. Slotted in the middle of the order on Saturday, Sanderson singled in his second at-bat to left field. With two strikes on him, the left-handed backstop adjusted well to an off-speed pitch down in the zone and flicked it over the shortstop’s head. It may not have been the flashiest base hit, but he has excellent hit ability and belted his first home run last week as well. Good defender behind the plate with ~ 2.0 pop times and solid flexibility.

6-foot, 165-pound athletic frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.71. Setup was comprised of a controlled load and open stance. Bat speed was above average, displayed uphill simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Produced a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Sanderson had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. His best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 71 mph; had sure hands, athletic footwork and a twitchy exchange. A lot of flexibility and athletic setup.Behind the plate, had a pop time of 2.05-2.16. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. A ton to like in this '23 grad.
