6-Foot-0, 200 Pound frame, square build with present strength, Gross worked his fastball up to 90 sitting 87-89. Working up in the zone Gross has the ability to get fly balls as he induced several in both outings. Will also worked a 73-76 curveball that allotted for a strikeout looking. Reliever type arm with power stuff, Gross should continue to improve the fastball and breaking ball as he continues to progress on the mound as the front line arm in his high school season.
5-foot-11, 205-Pound frame, square body with strength, ran a 7.43, offensively; open stance simple stride, barrel rhythm back knee works underneath and up, loses contact with ground with front leg at contact, back knee minimal rotation, barrel works to pull side, big extension to pull side, power at contact, 94 mph exit velo, defensively; late feet to field, glove flip, fingers up, funnel to middle, legs work underneath, arm strength, carry to throw, 80 mph arm strength.
Pitching: high ¾ slot, clean leg lift, clean hand break, short front side, kick out lead leg to closed toe landing, fastball 83-85, straight, stays to glove side and repeats, late life at the zone, curveball 68-70, 12-6 shape, action and depth at the plate, knuckleball 70-71, limited rotation, action to the pitch.
