Conniff

St. John's commit. Conniff showed that he has some tools at shortstop and from the left side of the plate. He shows quick-to-fast hands through the zone where his knob leads the barrel with strength in the wrists allowing him to drive balls the other way after they get deep. Hit the ball hard three times with nothing to show for it but some pretty good at-bats. Defensively he shows feel for shortstop and enough speed/range to handle the position. Charges the ball aggressively but under control of the body. Arm strength is average with accuracy while his hands show quickness and clean exchanges.
