7.55
Top Speed (MPH)
The athlete's fastest split time converted to miles per hour.
RSi
The reactive strength index measurement of an athlete's explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. On a scale of 0-5.
Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Event: NorCal Uncommitted Games (he has since committed) Positional Profile: C/1B Physical: 6-3, 210-pounds; Broad build with strength and ample room for future size and strength; 7.55 60-yard, 22.2” max jump height. Offensively: LH. EV max – 96.8 mph, hand speed max – 20.7 mph, bat speed max – 76.3 mph; Punisher at the plate, consistent HARD barrel contact with 88% hard hit% (balls hit over 90 mph), 75% sweet spot% (balls launched 8-32 degrees), 63% line drive%, discerning eye/approach, impact contact to all fields, aggressive swing while maintaining balance and barrel control. Defensively: C mph – 76, pops 2.18-2.22, 1B – 74; Longer arm stroke behind plate, strong soft hands, displayed numerous receiving positions while working under the ball, displayed sound 1B skills to suggest he can man the position in an average manner, showed awareness of working the bag, got feeds to 1B quickly allowing MIF to make adjustments, read ball in air early and set feet on time.
6/12/22
Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; Broad frame with strength throughout, wide shoulders, stood out at times with his LHH talents, competed as a catcher and also some time at 1B where he seems to fit better vs catcher, 72 mph top pop throw, times 2.25-2.29, ran 7.31 60-yd, there is some hitterish presence in the box and there are swings he gets off in BP that are LOUD, 96.1 max EV, 50% hard hit % (balls hit over 90 mph), 60% sweet spot %, heavy fly ball percentage, so the approach does match the raw talent to hit the ball far in the air which is obviously an attribute found frequently in those who play 1B, particularly those who hit LH.
1/23/22
Positional Profile: C Physical: 6-3, 205-pounds; Broad shouldered, muscular build. 7.36 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a finish around the back. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Various contact type % (line drive 22.2, fly ball 33.3, ground ball 44.4), physical swing, found sweet spot and showed consistent barrel contact, stays on-plane, bat speed projects real power potential. Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands soft and strong while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.26-2.35 pop times. C - 72 MPH. Flashed raw arm strength that will allow the pop times to get quicker as he trains, can set-up a little less deep in hips to burst out of crouch a bit better, receiving skills are strong.
