1/27/19 - PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Long, large frame with lots of projection in strength. Short, choppy steps (7.94 60-yd). Open stance showing good posture with hands at back shoulder and high back elbow; hands drop down as front foot is controlled stepping close. Creates good stretch with flashes of more hands speed; swing has natural loft catching the ball in front of the plate, and he flashed projection in his power especially to the pullside (81 exit velo). Short, choppy steps stay underneath him playing with high hips at SS; will have to grow into his body some, but has flashes of range and glove work. Arm was smooth with average swing and ¾ release; projects more with maturity (73 MPH).

1/27/19 - PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Thin lanky body type on 6-foot-1 155-pound frame, young body type still a ways from physical maturity, competed as a two-way player, delivery was as we saw before, fluid lift, short on backside and hides ball well, slight cross-body stride and opens toe a bit early which fans the plant foot a bit, gets to high-3/4 slot, could develop better extension/front side stability which very well could come with lower body strength, fastball (T78) wasn't real hot but was fairly sneaky due to some deception, curveball (61 mph) a little early to release point and came out and up from hand, there is some spin but need to tighten up, change-up (66-69 mph) was best pitch and had some cut action at times and diving action at other times. Still young and there are makings of a quality pitcher here.

6/12/18 - PBR N CA Underclass Games Trials - Long and lean, lanky body type on 6-foot-0 145-pound frame. Clearly still growing into his body, lots of physical maturity to gain in the coming years. Offensively showed a simple set-up, tall in the box, balanced and stacked, feet just wider than shoulders. Small move/stride, simple mechanics. Hands start with a fairly pronounced bat wrap around head which causes a pull approach, though hands do work well and could get more in line with the pitch and stay through the ball better. Defensively moved with calm and solid mechanics, good timing of to and through ball with a nice release. Arm strength is still a need. Longer arm action could also shorten up a bit as position player. On mound that arm action serves him better. Simple mechanics, good direction with slight cross body stride, good timing of separation between upper and lower body, good balance throughout. Stride leg could land stronger and firm up so as to not collapse and give away energy. Good release point and feel of repertoire. Fastball/curveball/change-up all with velocity differential they should have off each other, arm strength will start to come as lower body gains strength and overall physical maturity takes place. Change-up feel is a work in progress, does have some feel of tumbling curveball.
