4/18/18 - Uncommitted. Schreck continues to be one of the top uncommitted players in the state due in large part to his bat and defensive combination. Shcreck possesses the power in the bat that is desirable and the bat-to-ball skills that most successful college hitters have. Using a slightly open stance, Schreck generates power from his lower half in sync with his fast hands to drive balls to all parts of the park. Quicker than fast, what he lacks in speed he makes up for with his instincts. Takes good routes to the ball with a quick jump and good anticipation and understanding of angles to the ball. Possesses above average arm strength that produces online throws.
3/12/18 - Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame that is proportionally strong throughout the body. Simply put, Schreck is a hitter. Bats third in a lineup that is deep and features three Division I hitters in the top four. Arguably the best hitter in the Mission League last year and should be the same again this year. Schreck features a balanced and powerful setup with hands that rock before his slight right-leg trigger initiates his coil and swing. Fast hands allow Schreck to get barrel on balls on the inner half. Shows very good plate coverage fighting balls off that are away. A disciplined hitter, Schreck shows a shrewd approach at the plate and the ability to make at-bats laborious for pitchers by often fouling off several pitches in any given at-bat. Comes up big in big situations proving that no moment is too big for him. Drove in the winning runs in the top of the 7th inning of a tie game with a hard shot through the right side in which he turned on a fastball in on the hands and managed to get the barrel on it. Shows very good bat-to-ball skills
