SoCal Players Still on the Board

Les Lukach
State Scouting Director

Our scouts have been out a lot throughout SoCal in the last week taking in several games throughout the region. From Los Angeles to San Diego and everywhere in between, our team of scouts has you covered.

In the last week alone we've been able to get eyes on some of the top uncommitted players in the region and that is the focus of this scouting blog. However, we've included one committed player, Keaton Carattini (La Costa Canyon HS) who is committed to Michigan, because his performance when we saw him was that good.
Take a look inside for nine uncommitted players in the 2018 and 2019 classes that we think you're going to like.

Michigan commit was lights out last week against Poway in the season opener for the Mavericks. Working consistently in the 88-90 mph zone with his fastball, Carattini also showed a very good curve ball at 72-75 mph that was almost unhittable. In fact, we counted only two times that hitters were able to get the bat on the pitch. It was that good. A legitimate high school two-way player, Carratini also smoked a ball into the RCF gap, his future is undoubtedly on the mound in college.
