6-foot-3, 200-pound pitcher who attacked the zone and had two low-stress innings. His fastball sat 80-82, curveball 68-70, and change-up 72-75. Simple mechanics and was consistent with all pitches. Big frame with room to add strength. The foundation and projection are there, and I am excited to watch his progression.
2023, Jake Paczkowski, Heritage continues noticeable development in size and strength. Quick Twitch. Home to 1st: 3.97 Slightly open wide stance, rhythm load gets to balanced launch position. Hits from firm front side. Lower half rotational acceleration is good! Hands are quiet and remain connected through load. Hands are quick and hand direct inside path to the ball. Middle of the field approach. Finishes on the front side. His added strength noticeable with strong barrel contact. Exit Velo 93.3. Catcher Arm Velo 76 with consistent pop time 1.81-1.88. Good transfer with hands on throw down, quick feet create good transition in pivot. Have seen Jake play in games. Would consider is energy level high and does great job managing staff, receiving and communicating.
2.01-2.08 pop-time behind the plate. Thin, 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with room for growth. Middle of the field approach and the hands work down through ball. It's an aggressive and confident swing from the right-side with a top exit velocity on the day of 87.4 mph. Lots of potential in Paczkowski's game.
