6-foot-1, 195-pound tall, athletic prospect that registered a 3.9 home to first. In the field, he shows the versatility and range to play a number of positions. He displays quick, fluid footwork and soft hands. His exchange is quick and under control as he reaches a top velocity of 81 MPH using short arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a wide setup with quick bat speed, 92 MPH exit velocity was second highest at this event. Level swing keeps the bat in the zone with good extension. Good carry on the ball with pull power. Strong lower half with good drive through impact.
The Chatfield Chargers had a great year in 2014 finishing 20-4 on the season making it through districts to the 5A State Playoffs (Final 8). 3B/SS Kyle Winker was a big part of their success. Winkler was a force at the plate last spring. As a junior last year Winkler finished 3rd in 5A in batting average hitting .525. In 62 at-bats, Winkler also drove in 24 RBI's while hitting 8 2B, 1 3B, and 3 HR which equated to an impressive .836 SLG average and 1.423 OPS. Winkler is a great athlete who can run a sub 7.0 60 and who also was nominated 1st Team All-Jeffco Conference in 2014 as the starting QB for the Chargers.
