Has quick glove to hand transfer on throw downs to 2B. Showcased pop-time of 1.9 to 2.01 with accuracy. Arm velocity was 79 mph down to 2B. Frames and blocks well. Ran a 4.19 home to first. Good looking catching prospect.
1.31.16
5-foot-11, 185-pound right hand hitting catcher/third base who ran a 4.33 home to first.  At the plate he starts balanced with a short stride.  Swing is long through the zone and he hits off a firm front side.  He had an 86 MHP exit velocity at this event.  Behind the plate he had a showcase bets 1.90 pop-time with a 79 MPH arm.  He does a nice job of staying straight through the plate and delivers an accurate ball to the base.  He moves well to block pitches and shows quiet hands when receiving.

8-8-15
Kuzma is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound sophomore catcher who showcased 2.06-2.08 pop times on throws of 75 mph out of the crouch. Pop-times were measured off the pitcher and not a coach. The 75 mph was improved from 73 at the Denver Metro Prospect ID. He ran a 7.50 60-yard dash which was also improved from the Denver Metro Prospect ID and displayed a 84 mph bat exit velocity up from 74 mph a month ago. Kuzma's stance is balanced pigeon-toed stance. Hips come through good on contact with a longer swing through the zone that creates solid contact. Has strong wrists and fast hands. Gap to gap hitter. Catcher that is improving and a prospect to watch.
6-23-15
