A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball

Simple side step to pronounced pivot. Swing with coiled leg lift, in rhythm. Up/down leg drive to slightly closed stride. Toe is open. High short back side arc with extended high 3⁄4 release. Good glove side leverage. Creates good torso rotation. FB 79-81 in zone with minimal movement CB 65-67 Gradual 10/4 Break CH 73 Same arm side with attack. Good mechanics...will benefit with added strength. Lots of Potential

Positional Profile: SS Body: 6’0” 165 Run: 7.3 Hit: (RHH) Slightly open, tall stance. Short stride back to linear. Good rhythm into stride. Lower half is pretty well sequenced with upper half. Minimal hand movement on load. Swing plane is flatter with a lower two handed finish. Getting better at keeping barrel in the hitting zone longer. Swing keeps improving each time we see him, as does his strength. Exit Velo: 83 Power: Gap to gap power, with potential for plus power as he gets older. Arm: Arm Velo 80 Longer arm path that is mostly over the top, did show the ability on the double play to throw from a lower arm angle. Arm strength across the field keeps improving. Defense: Good pre-pitch routine, does a good job of getting his moving. Has soft hands with a good quick exchange from glove to throw. Does a pretty good job of fielding the ball out front.
