2/17/19

6-foot, 180-pound, average athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, legs are thick and strong, a well proportioned athlete. Plays the outfield, top tool is his smooth left-handed swing. Balanced in the box, feet start wider, slightly open, hands are super loose at the shoulders with some pre-pitch movement to them. For timing uses a bigger leg kick, gains ground with stride momentum stays straight. The swing is through the zone, keeps the hands inside the baseball. The approach is to gap to gap, has enough juice to beat to pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at  82 mph, with more in there. Defensively, threw 75 mph, from a higher slot. The feet are clean, gains ground, slight pull of front arm, could stay on target longer. Interesting prospect, left-handed hitter with feel for the barrel.

5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  Threw 74 mph from the outfield, showed a clean arm and strength to it as he matures. Ran a 4.58 down the line on his dig to first base. Showed to be reliable in the outfield during the game as well. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 81 mph. Feet are set up wide, uses a pick up and put down as the ball approaches. At times, the front foot is late getting down. The hands work the barrel clean, the barrel is straight up and he begin the swing. Like the path and he showed competitive at bats in the game, doubling and playing hard.

3/07/17

5-foot-10, 170-pound, average athletic frame, is wiry strong, has plenty of room to fill out and put weight on. A left-handed hitter, who has above average bat speed for his age. The stance is balanced throughout, the feet are shoulder width apart, it's slightly open, gets back to even on the stride. The hands are held at shoulder height, are loose with some movement, bat starts in a good position with some tilt to it. The swing is level across his chest, finishes with one hand. The approach is more middle of the field, to opposite, made solid contact in his two rounds of batting practice. The hands cast early at times, keep the barrel in the hitting zone longer. Defensively, the arm was clocked at 70 mph, arm action is short and clean comes out of a ¾ slot, showed good carry for his age. Fields the baseball off proper foot, gains ground with high crow hop in transfer. The front side glove could be stronger and closed off slightly longer. The stride foot could be longer, will help get hand out front, will aid in finishing off the throws. Solid follow, going to be a good one, approach is good at the plate.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.72
Exit Velocity: 85 mph
Arm Velocity: 70 mph
