Deron Koppel: RHP/OF, (2024) Norwalk, CT. 6-foot, 180-pound mature strong build. Above average on the mound, had a long loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Displays downhill shoulders and an athletic strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Threw his fastball 82-84 mph; had sinking action and arm side control with heavy movement. (Max spin 2008; Avg 1916). Threw a 1/7 curveball (64-68) with slurvey early action and glove side command. (Max spin 2368; Avg 2298). Has arm side command and fading swing and miss action on his changeup (76-77). Showed late tight action and glove side control on his cutter (73-75). Took a major jump, pitch-ability and velocity.

Deron Koppel: RHP/OF, (2023) out of Norwalk, CT. is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound right handed pitching prospect. On the mound, Koppel uses a quick, high ¾ arm slot to produce a sinking fastball that sits 83-83 mph  (Max spin 2203; Avg 2072). The delivery is easy, simple and direct. He gets to a consistent balance point with the shoulders in line with the plate. He lands square with a clean finish. Koppel also featured a 12/6 curveball (66-67 mph) (Max spin 2429; Avg 2323) and a late fading changeup (74-76 mph).

is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitching prospect. On the mound, Koppel uses a high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 81-83 mph (Max spin 2155; Avg 2058) with some late arm side run. The delivery is simple, easy and in line. He gets to a good position at the top and lands square with an athletic finish. Koppel also featured a 12/6 curveball (67-68 mph)(Max spin 2430; Avg 2340) and a late, fading changeup (75-76 mph).


10/24/21

5-foot-11, 170-pound, stronger, solid athletic frame, put together well, durable with strength throughout.  A right-handed pitcher, who threw the baseball very well at this event. Off the mound, works from more of a hybrid start, smooth leg kick, with coil, loaded on the backside, tall and strong. The direction is inline, throws against a firm front side.  The arm action is long and loose, working from a higher 3/4 slot, fastball is heavy, clocked at 81 mph. Throws a hard cutter at 75 mph, a swing and miss pitch. The changeup compliments the fastball, down fading action to it on the arm side at 71-73 mph. Mixed in a true curveball in the mid 60's. Love the tempo and aggressiveness he shows on the mound. 

8/26/20

5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 75-77 mph with arm side action to it. The spin pitch was 57-58 mph and big in shape. He also showed a slider at 66-67 mph. He displayed a cutter as well at 66-68 mph The changeup was 67-68 and had minimal action to it. The delivery is online and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo and showed a coil at the top. The tracking of the front shoulder can improve as he matures in age. The glove shows minimal pull to it as well. 

8/12/20

5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting outfielder. He ran a 8.16 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is under control and online. He threw 74 mph during the outfield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot steps into the swing. The path is long and flat to contact, very handsy with the bat. On the mound, the fastball sat 77-78 mph with minimal arm side run to it. The spin pitch is big in shape, sitting 60-62 mph. The changeup was 66-67 mph with minimal action to it. 

Exit Velocity- 84 mph

OF Velocity- 74 mph
