2/29/20

6-foot-180-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. Already filling out, strength throughout. A right-handed hitting two-way player, showed extremely well on both sides. Off the mound, slower deliberate delivery, hands start and stay at mid-section, clean separation. The arm action is short and clean works with minimal effort on the back side. The direction is slightly across his body, upper half has minimal pull to glove side. The fastball was clocked at 73 mph, with arm side run, last action. The breaking ball shows proper spin and shape clocked at 60-61 mph. The changeup is still a work in progress, 61-65 mph. At the plate, even feet, balanced, loose, relaxed hands at shoulder height, more vertical setup. The swing is level through the zone, finishing above the shoulders with two hands, approach middle to pull side, had a tee exit velocity of 72 mph. Defensively, threw 71 mph across the diamond, arm working from a higher slot. The feet and hands need to smooth out and work together more, gaining ground, could stay lower.  Projects for me off the mound, look for him to hit with power, might need to make a move to 1st base longer term.

Tee Exit Velocity: 72 mph

Arm Velocity: 71 mph
