5-foot-11, 150-pound, long and lengthy, with tons of room for added weight gains. Projectable at the plate, Swineford had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Begins in a wide stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is explosive, shows an upward swing plane and high finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Opposite field approach. Above average in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 66 mph; had a clean exchange, smooth footwork, and sure hands. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball one hand. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, using a loose arm action he showed quick arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort.Showed strong balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an upright finish. Threw his fastball 60-65 mph; has sinking action and command low in the zone. His changeup 57-59 mph; shows fading action and arm side command.
