2/17/18- The Florida State recruit has a standout tournament at the plate with multiple extra base hits. Howlett has an athletic, physical frame with above average bat speed and present power, looking to drive the ball with intent. He also stood out in the field with a strong arm across the diamond with the ability to make the tough off-balance throws with accuracy to the bag. He moves well enough at third to project to stay there and what he shows with the bat is above average hit and power tools that should play at the professional level.

10/24/17- The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder looks stronger than he did last year, and his frame appears to have matured even more. In his first at-bat, Howlett sent a 90 mph fastball off  the left field scoreboard for a home run. Howlett is gifted with advanced quickness in his hands, and his strong lower-half allows him the foundation with which to drive the ball. His final at-bat of the day was the most impressive as he fell behind early after fouling balls straight back, but worked his way to a 3-2 count, and proceeded to stroke and outside fastball for  a line drive single to the opposite field.

10/16/17- Florida State recruit. Has continued to get stronger and looks to slide to third base. The actions work at third, with above average range and plenty of arm. He struggled some defensively on the weekend, but should be an above average defender. Offensively, he has an extremely high upside. The lower half is balanced and the path works. He flashes plus power potential, but appears to be overthinking his swing some and if he can get back to trusting his hands and letting his barrel work he will see his huge offensive upside.

07/22/16- Florida State recruit the No. 10 overall player in the 2018 class is a physical 6-foot-1 190 pound third basemen who continued to prove why he has been so highly touted. He has a very aggressive approach with plus bat speed while being able to use a strong lower half and stay balanced throughout the swing. The ball jumps off of his bat and the advanced approach as well as the aggressiveness to the balls in the zone show why he will continue to be one of the top players in the 2018 class.

5/21/16- Florida State commit who stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with a strong and projectable body with athleticism and loose, easy actions. He is ranked 14th in Florida and 25th overall. Advanced approach at the plate with an upright and open stance, good rhythm, a strong separation for his load, and a leg kick. Very good bat speed with a nice swing plane through the zone and he uses his lower half well. The ball really jumps off his bat. In the field he has soft hands, light feet, and a loose, easy arm with plenty of arm strength to stay on the left side of the infield. He also lined a single up the middle in the game off a 91 mph fastball.

4/8/16- Florida State commit who stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with a strong, athletic, and projectable body with strong legs. Smooth actions in the field with a strong arm across the diamond. At the plate he has an open stance with good rhythm and he has a leg kick for his stride. He gets a separation and hand trigger for his load that gets him into a strong hitting position. Very good bat speed with a nice swing plane.

12/10/15- 6-foot-1, 180-pound Florida State recruit. Strong upper body, projectable. Showcased good actions and a strong arm from third base. Moves well for his size. During batting practice, Howlett showed some juice in his bat and drove the ball into the gaps. Ran a 6.98-second 60-yard dash time. Player to keep an eye on as he matures.
