10/15/17- Florida Gulf Coast recruit. Fastball mostly sat 87-89 mph, touching 90 a couple times with life. Also mixed in a 76-79 mph slider and an 81-82 mph changeup. He has a lot of moving parts and late separation leads to spraying the fastball. The arm is lively and can see him making some jumps in the future. The curveball really plays and shows flashes of being a plus pitch. It has tight spin and depth and will be interesting to see if everything starts to come together with more innings.
05/20/17 - FGCU recruit. Bell has a high waist and long arms. He has made a jump in velocity this spring and was 88-90 touching 91 on the day. He tended to rush down the mound and loose his front side, leading to an inconsistent release point which led to trouble throwing strikes. He also flashed a near plus slider at times when he got extension at 80-81 mph. He will log a good amount of innings this summer and as he learns to gather over the runner, stay strong with his front side and get consistent extension he should see an increase in both command and velocity.

9/17/16- The 5-foot-10, 170 pound 3B/RHP took two solid rounds of batting practice. The right handed hitter showed a level swing with a good path through the zone. He showed an ability to find the barrel, even though the swing would get long at times. As he continues to learn how to be consistently short to the ball, he should have a chance to hit for gap-to-gap power. Defensively, he shows average actions and good hands with enough arm strength to stay at third. The right handed pitcher showed a quick arm from a 3/4 slot. There was effort in the throwing action, but the fastball ranged from 82-86 mph with some arm side run. A weak front side limited a bit of the velocity potential currently, but as that gets strong the velocity will jump. He still needs to improve his offspeed as he did not show a feel for the slider or changeup currently. Overall he is athletic with a quick arm and potential both in offensively and on the mound.
6/22/16- The 5-foot-10 170-pounder showed slightly above average range as well as a strong arm across the infield topping out at 87 mph. At the plate, Bell stands tall in the box and does not yet use his lower half consistently. Bell’s hands work quickly and directly to the baseball creating line drives in the gaps during batting practice. On the mound, Bell uses his lower half well, staying in line with the plate and shows a quick arm with the fastball ranging from 83-86 mph. Bell worked down in the zone with the fastball as well as mixed in a 73-74 mph slider with some late action.
