Cape Cod: Emerged as a key piece in the Y-D bullpen over the summer. He finished with a 4.86 ERA in 16.2 innings. With 16 strikeouts, he missed a fair share of bats, but with 14 walks, he also missed the strike zone quite a bit, which is something that plagued him last season at FGCU as well. He has a fastball from 90-94 mph with some sinking action, a low-80s slider and a firm changeup in the mid-to-high 80s.
6-foot-1, 165 pound right handed hitting catcher has one of the stronger arms in the class and this along with a quick transfer and solid footwork produced consistent pop times in the 1.85-1.95 range. Offensively there is some length in the swing, but as he continues to fill out should become shorter and more consistent. The catch and throw tools make him very interesting as an above average defensive catcher going forward.
