7/27/15 - Thick stocky strong lower half. Very quick arm with effort at a high 3/4 slot. Fast ball was 90-93 mph with some down tilt. Curve ball was a downer at 73-76 mph. Flashed an average ML pitch.Slider was 77-80 mph and was a shorter tighter downer. Same as curve but harder and shorter. Change up was 77-79 mph. Slowed arm down to throw it. Still a work in progress. Works quick. Aggressive approach. Needs to get lower half closed at top of delivery to get a little more velocity and stay in line to target. Could become a decent 2016 draft.

Comments
. DJ is a big physical kid with a very good arm. His fastball is usually 87-91 mph. His slider is inconsistent, but at times a swing and miss pitch at 75-76 mph. He also pitched on the 15U national team in 2013.
