01/28/17- The 5-foot-10, 180-pound right handed pitcher has a stocky and strong frame. With a short, quick arm action he showed a fastball that ranged from 80-83 mph with some arm side life. He showed the ability to spin the breaking ball with a present above average pitch at 70 mph with 11-5 action and the potential to be a plus pitch. He also showed a changeup at 71 mph. An athletic, quick arm and ability to spin a breaking ball will make him a very interesting follow.
01/21/17- The 5-foot-10, 180-pound RHP/1B is a two-way player to watch going forward. On the mound he has a short arm action, hides the baseball throughout delivery well. Gets to balance point, breaks the hands and jumps forward a little towards home plate. Slider shows tight spin and good shape. Good arm strength and arm speed for class. The fastball has some life at 80-83 mph with more to come. He also shows quality feel for a 74-75 mph changeup and a 68-71 mph slider. Offensively, the right handed hitter has a simple set-up with a wide base, good rhythm and quality separation. He has a level path through the zone, but can cut himself off at times with a one-handed release follow through. Also showed accurate throws from the outfield at 81 mph. Overall, he is physical with a lot of tools that will be fun to watch as he continues to develop.
