10/16/16- Bethune-Cookman recruit. The stocky switch hitting catcher continued to do what we have seen him do all summer and fall now. That is show above average bat speed and strength from both sides. He also showed a less shouldered swing from the right side. He was also consistently a 1.95-2.05 with a quick transfer and strong arm. More impressive was the ability to catch the high end arms without getting beat. His hands are consistently in the right position letting him receive and frame the ball as opposed to getting beat by good pitching. As he continues to develop offensively he will be very interesting.

9/15/16- Committed to Bethune-Cookman University.

8/27/16- The stocky 5-foot-10, 185-pound switch hitting catcher has a strong lower half and was solid all the way around again. Behind the plate, he shows a strong arm with his best pop time being 1.96 while showing  a 2.08 in game on the bag to catch a runner stealing. He can continue to improve this time with improved transfer and quicker footwork. Offensively, the switch hitter is strong and has quick hands but is noticeably more stiff from the right side. From the left side, there is much more fluidity with a good feel for the barrel. During the game he showed the tendency to leak open early and get around the ball at times from the left side, but when he stayed closed he drove two singles the other way.

6/22/16- The stocky 5-foot-10 190-pounder was impressive behind the plate. Lorenzo had a quick transfer on his throws and a strong arm topping out at 80 mph leading to consistent  A few 2.0 pop times with his best being a 1.98. The switch hitter, uses his strong lower half well from both sides. From the right side, Lorenzo showed some pop but was long and a little stiff. From the left side, Lorenzo was much more fluid and quick through the zone with a direct path to the ball and gap-to-gap power.
