Florida State Commit, 5-foot-11, 195-pound physical athletic frame. Above average during batting practice, Carlson recorded an exit velocity of 97 mph. Begins in an open athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a leg kick. Had explosive bat speed, uphill rotational swing plane and high finish. He created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Behind the plate, shows consistent feet, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action.

Body: 5-foot-11, 205-pounds. Physical frame. Strong lower half.
Defense: 1.94-2.11 pop times. Soft hands receiving. Moves freely behind the plate and out of the crouch. Quick transfer out of the glove. Smothers dirt balls.
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. High 3/4 arm slot. Short arm action. Accurate to the bag.
Hit: LHH. Tall, balanced athletic setup. Leg kick load. Uphill swing with loose hands. Whippy bat path with above average bat speed. Gap-to gap hitter. 
Power: 96 mph exit velocity. Projectable power gap to gap.
Run: 7.75 runner in the 60.

Strong, stocky frame at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds.  Loose arm action with a little hitch and some accuracy and carry on throws to second base with pop times 2.1-2.25. Strong hands receiving and blocks and moves laterally well. Balanced setup at the plate with smooth load and strong lower half. Quick, strong hands, line drive hitter with level to uphill bat path and above average bat speed with 85 mph exit velo. A left-handed bat to follow in the future with further developing power.

5-foot-10, 185-pound, left-handed hitting catcher, athletically-built, strong frame. Offensively, balanced setup, short stride, hands load back smoothly, maintains good balance. Quick barrel speed, takes a power approach, swings with aggressive intent, pull-side tendency, athletic hands, 83 mph exit velocity off a tee.
