6/20/15 - Miami commit. 6-foot-3, 207 pound catcher with a big body and a thick wide strong lower half. Solid hands behind the plate with an above average ML arm. Good catch and throw skills. Above average power with some quickness and strength in the bat. Swing has some length with lift to it. Occasionally cheats with the hips and gets pull happy but can lift a ball down in the zone a long way. Is best when he drives ball to all fields. Lined a 94 mph FB up the middle for a single. Power bat at a premium position. Should be a 2016 draft.
2/21/15 - Miami commit. 6-foot-3, 205 pound catcher who is a premium position player with left handed power and a plus ML arm, which already makes him a pro prospect. He needs to continue to work on his defense and release for consistency. Power plays more the more field he uses. Occasionally gets pull happy and works around the ball but his tools and profile will likely make him a good 2016 draft.
1/10/15 FTB tryout - Continues to show why he's at the top of his class. Tools played well. Very good catch and throw skills will solid receiving skills and shows the ability to move around back there and block balls well. LH power bat with a good rhythm and load. Aggressive approach. Occasionally chases ut ball jumps off his bat.
11/19-Big strong catchers body with above avg LH power. Very good defensive skills. Solid catch and throw guy with above avg arm strength. Received and blocked well. Big LH power bat with mostly pull power right now. Young guy that showed very well at WWBA in Jupiter. Big improvement from the summer. Could be a good 2016 draft.

8-15-2018At six-foot-three, 210 pounds, Iser is a physical presence in the batter’s box. Has a rotational, in/out of the zone swing. Very similar to a pinball machine flipper. With that said, he does have a little more weight transfer than my previous look during the spring of 2017. Possesses plus-to-better raw power to his pull side. Struck out 15 times in 34 plate appearances this summer. Plus arm strength. From past looks at San Jacinto JC Iser has been typically a good receiver with strong and soft hands. However, he struggled at times on easy, framable pitches during this evaluation. Look for Iser to enter DBU this fall and excel under the tutelage of Dan Heefner, a highly regarded hitting coach whose program continues to develop prospect after prospect, both on the mound and in the batter’s box.
