08/22/18- A long-limbed 6-foot-1, 180 pound the right handed pitcher has a simple delivery. There is some effort and drop and drive action, he stays in line and gets down the mound well. The fastball worked 84-86 mph early and settled in around 83-84 mph, with some life down in the zone. The effort in the delivery led to some inconsistencies at release, but when he got to extension with his fingers on top of the ball there was some life and swing and miss on the fastball. Showed command for a 67-70 mph curveball, which he threw often. Also, showed a 72 mph changeup.
08/20/17- Stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds with a strong, solid frame. Strong hands and wrists. In the outfield he has come choppiness in his step, but fields the ball out in front and gets good momentum behind his throws. Throws topped out at 80 mph from right field with some accuracy. In the infield he fielded the ball cleanly while ranging backhand and forehand to the ball. Makes the plays and his throws topped out at 79 mph across the diamond. On the mound he has a simple delivery that he repeats well and featured a fastball that sat mostly 80-81 mph along with a 60-63 mph curveball and a 76-78 mph change up.

07/26/17- Standing at 6-foot, 185-pounds the young two way player has the ability to see jumps in all aspects of his game as he grows into his body. Defensively he showed an accurate arm with his hands working well in the field. Occasionally would be too wide while breaking down to field balls. Would see improvement with keeping his feet moving while approaching the ball. Offensively, he worked well to the ball while staying inside and being able to use the opposite field. Smashed a line drive single to the left center field gap during his game. Would occasionally work steep to the ball. On the mound Osteen sat 80-81 with his fastball and 60-62 with his breaking ball. Look for velo to jump with growth.

06/01/17 - Strong frame standing at 6-foot, 180 pounds with a good lower half. Slightly open stance at the plate and showed the ability to square the ball up with solid contact. Good path through the zone with an uphill finish that resulted in multiple line drives during batting practice. At times can be out in front, but when he stays back on the ball he can drive it into the gaps. Registered an 83 mph exit velocity in the cage. Showed the ability to range backhand while at third, throws across the diamond had some accuracy topping out at 79 mph. Osteen showed potential on the mound, with a strong arm and potential. Fastball sat in the 81-83 mph range while also mixing in a 54-55 mph curveball with looping action along with a 75-78 mph changeup.
