07/26/17- Strong, athletic frame. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound shortstop showed a chance to be a solid two way guy at the next level. In the field Kyle showcased a short, easy arm action with good arm strength. His feet were quick and choppy allowing him to get in a good position to field the ball. Hands worked well and were smooth. At times showed inaccuracy with throws to first. Offensively, he had a strong, violent but controlled swing with a medium high leg kick trigger. Hands worked well and on plane with the ball while showing potential gap-to-gap power. On the mound Kyle sat 80-85 with his fastball with a smooth over the top delivery. He also showed command with a breaking ball sitting at 65 with good depth.
8/5/15 - Incoming sophomore who stands at 6 foot, 155 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable frame with strength. At the plate he has a bat wag that he slows down when he loads, a nice separation for his load a leg kick that gives him timing and rhythm. Uses his lower half well, gets good leverage, and gets great extension in his swing. Nice swing plane with good bat speed. In the field he has good footwork with athleticism, soft hands, and enough arm to stay at SS with a short, loose, high ¾ arm action. Kyle threw 75 mph across the diamond and produced an 83 mph exit bat velocity. He also sat 75-79 mph off the mound with a 60-63 mph curveball. Huber has an advanced bat that will only get better with strength and maturity. Will definitely be able to play at the next level.
6 foot, 155 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable frame with present strength. Short arm arc in back at a high ¾ arm slot with good arm speed. Lands slightly across the body with good extension out front and a semi upright finish. Fast ball has tailing action at 76-79 mph. Curve ball is a downer with occasional depth at 61-63 mph. The change up has some fade at 70-71 mph. Drops arm slot a bit to throw it. Stuff will continue to get better with physical maturity. Young guy with a lot of upside.
