Making an immediate impression on the first day, RJ Shields was outstanding during his three-inning, no-hit outing. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound right-hander who is committed to Mississippi State struck out five. From a high three-quarter slot he powered a high-spin (2550+ rpm) fastball for whiff, along with repeating a late-actioned swing/miss slider in the low-80s. Both graded above average as present offering on the pro scale.
