Strong and athletic frame at 6 foot, 195 pounds. Short arm action in the infield with soft hands and average foot work with a clean transfer fielding ground balls. Crouched setup at the plate with a short leg kick to create rhythm in the swing with a level bat path and hits gap to gap. As a RHP throws from the ¾ arm slot while staying in line to home with his motion. SItting 80-82 with the fastball, 60-61 with curveball with depth, split 70-71 with sink. Commands all pitches for strikes with good arm speed.
Uncommitted 2021 pitcher, Sam Orozco, pounded the strike zone during his outing. He showed the ability to throw all of his pitches for strikes. He utilized his lower half really well, helping him sustain a consistent pitching motion. Ororzco’s fastball sat at 79-80 throughout his start. His 11-5 curveball had good depth and sat at 69 while his change up kept hitters off balance at 72.
