Hermann

Right handed pitcher class of 2021 playing for the Ostingers. Velo was in the low to mid 80s with the fast ball. Sean commanded the corners with an easy repeatable three quarters arm slot. Sean helped his own cause with a pick-off at 1st base.

11/04/18 - South Florida recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot, 145 pounds with an athletic, projectable frame and long legs. Made quick work of his two innings on the mound during the scrimmage where he struck out 6 out of 10 batters, along with inducing weak ground balls. The velocity was a little down from the 85-86 mph we saw earlier in the fall, but worked down in the zone at 81-82, touching 83 a few times. Mixed in a changeup at 76-77 mph, but what really impressed was his slider that shows depth and late movement, with an above average feel to throw strikes with it while inducing multiple swings/misses. Hermann has a really quick arm with command of the zone, pitching with confidence and poise. Look for him to see a couple upticks in velocity as he continues to strengthen his frame. Strong follow.

9/27/18 - South Florida recruit. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 140 pounds with a projectable frame and long legs. Was impressive in his four innings on the mound where he racked up multiple strikeouts and threw all three pitches for strikes, inducing plenty of swings/misses on the slider. The arm works really quick and he pitches with confidence. Fastball mostly sat 84-86 mph with run along with a 74-75 mph change up and 71-73 mph slider that showed depth. Also displayed a quick pick-off move over to first which kept runners tight to the bag. Hermann is a young, projectable righty to keep an eye on as he should see jumps in velocity as he continues to strengthen his frame and mature.

07/10/18- Projectable, athletic frame. Quick arm with life on the fastball that mostly sat 81-83 mph, touching 84 a couple times. Works with an up-tempo pace. Also showed a feel for the slider, throwing it for strikes at 75-76 mph. Induced multiple swings and misses on both the slider and the fastball. Young, projectable righty who should see some big jumps as he matures.
