5/28/16- Florida commit who stands at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a physical, athletic, strong, and projectable body. He is currently ranked 50th in Florida. He had a very good showing at FACA as he sat 90-94 mph with his fastball and complimented it with a 79-82 mph curveball that broke two planes and had good depth. He has a fluid, high ¾ arm action and fills up the zone. He has a good chance of being a draft pick next week.

08/24/15- Committed to University of Florida

8/22/15- 2016 RHP/3B 6’3”/210 Tyler sat 89-91 FB w/ run during the game that handcuffed a couple LH batters.  Bumped a 92, big velocity jump. Showed some actions at 3B as well during INF drills.

3/26/15- Uncommitted junior. 6-foot-2 205 pounds, Projectable, athletic, and strong body. Strong legs. Might have to move to 3B because of size. At the plate he gets a good separation and has a nice swing plane. Ball jumps off his bat. Loose, athletic actions in the field and on the mound. Loose arm. Over the top arm slot with a good downward plane on his fastball. 86-89 mph FB. 72-74 mph CR with a ¾ break that is sharp when he stays on top of it. CR goes up out of his hand and is loopy when he casts. Good two-way player.

10-30-2018Junior right-hander Tyler Dyson highlighted the arms the Gators rolled out on the afternoon. Dyson went two innings, and show the pure arm talent that makes him an early day one candidate in the 2019 MLB Draft. Dyson worked his fastball up to 97 mph while sitting mostly 94-95 mph. The right-hander is athletic and features a clean ¾ arm action. There is som rotation at times and led to a sweeping slider with a hump at times at 85 mph. Dyson struck out a pair in two innings and shows that day one type arm talent with the fastball, but will be interesting to see how the offspeed offerings continue to develop. (Freeman)

8-25-2018Six-foot-three, 225 pound, strong bodied righty with a sinker/slider repertoire. Low-90s (90-93 mph) fastball showed plus arm side life when down in the zone and riding life when up. Slider was short and sharp at 83-84 mph, showing a look more like a power curveball. Expanded to his glove side with two strikes and pushed on occasion. High back elbow arm action, occasionally dropped below his shoulder for uphill push instead of downhill throw. Similar three-quarter to low three-quarter arm slot as former teammate and first round pick, Brady Singer. Did not see his best, as he did not show the same stuff as last summer in the Northwoods League, but remains one of the top draft-eligible arms for 2019. (Seifert)
