05/03/18- Vanderbilt recruit. The shortstop is undersized, but a plus athlete. He has two plus tools in his run and defensive tools. He was 0-4, but had home to first times in the 4.06-4.15 range all from the right side. He really stood out defensively, ranging effortlessly with an extremely quick transfer and plenty of arm. There is a high ceiling with the athleticism, the bat will have to show some more gap-to-gap power, but the present bat to ball skills and plus run and defensive tools will have him high on many teams boards, most likely a late second to middle of the third round.

02/21/18- The shortstop is an extremely twitchy athlete. He is undersized, but light on his feet and shows plus defensive actions. There is a lot of lateral range and an average arm. Offensively, the switch hitter just missed a few pitches from the left side, but seems to stay on the barrel. Present bat to ball skills. More upright from the right side, he has a line drive to right in his final at-bat and can see potential for more power from that side.
10/16/17- Vanderbilt recruit. Looks to have added to his frame recently. Short, simple swing from both sides of the plate with above average bat speed that finds the barrel often. Laced a doubled into the left-center field gap for an easy standup double during gameplay. Extremely aggressive runner on the base paths who gets good reads and shows the ability to take it to another gear when looking to score. There is a lot of present athleticism and shows the ability to have above average to plus hit tool from both sides of the plate. Defensively he is twitchy, with functional athleticism and a feel for the position. He is undersized, but the tools play up and should stick in the middle.
6/14/16- Vanderbilt recruit. Currently ranked No. 9 in the Florida 2018 class, No. 18 overall. Lean, wiry, quick twitch athlete standing at 5-foot-9, 140 pounds on a smaller frame. Live body. Loose and smooth actions all over the field. Makes the plays, charges the ball, shows soft hands, and good lateral quickness. Displays good instincts. At the plate Edwards uses all of the field from both sides of the plate with a short, quick swing. Shows good plate discipline and take good at-bats. Very aggressive runner on the base paths. Able to take it into another gear once he rounds first on a ball hit into the gaps. Added strength will be able to increase his game even more as he matures.
2/4/16 - Smaller athletic quick twitch guy with plus defensive skills. Quick actions, soft quick hands with plenty of arm to stay at shortstop. Plus runner. 4.08 to 1B. Has a chance to be a good 2018 draft pick.
10/27/15- 5-foot-8, 140-pound Vanderbilt recruit. Scrappy athlete. At the plate works the counts and displayed above-average bat speed. Drives it to all parts of the field. Runs the bases well and gets a good jump off the bag. In the field, displayed range and makes the plays. Game will improve with added strength and maturity.
7/10/15- Committed to Vanderbilt.
6/14/15- 5-foot-8 140 pounds with a lean and athletic body. Soft hands, light feet, and bounces well in the field. Above average arm across the diamond. Quiet at the plate and gets a good separation for his load. Short, quick swing and stays inside the ball well. Nice swing plane. 3.75 on a bunt from the left side.
12/28 - Very young smaller athletic live body. Very good actions and hands in infield. Shows good instincts at SS with some range. Loose quick stroke from left side with good hand eye. Stays inside ball well and uses the whole field. Looks like he enjoys the game. Ran a 6.8, 60. Very advanced infield actions for young guy. Will be very interesting to watch how his body develops. Tools will improve with physical maturity.
