8/6/17 - Continued to show his hitting prowess, squaring up a single in his first at-bat. He smoked it to center field and advanced to second on the throw. The opposing catcher attempted a throw to second base that hit Seigler in the foot and bounced into left field. Seigler immediately hopped up and took third base, but helped off the field with a foot injury.
7/10/17 - Named to Team USA 18U trials roster.
6/28/17 - Went 1-for-2 with two RBIs on a fly ball double to deep left field. He also stood out defensively, showing a strong arm behind the plate. He threw Turang out at second with a 2.2-second pop time, though the call was questionable. Later, he popped a 1.97 and the throw was on the money, but dropped. He made a nice pick in the dirt and got off a strong throw to third base.
6/27/17 - Served as the DH Tuesday, going 2-for-4 with a double and single. He has barrel control, going with a fastball away on the double, lining it past the first baseman and into the right-field corner, and then going back up the middle with an easy, controlled swing for the single.
5/24/18 - Seigler is a polished, older high school hitter, that has had a highly decorated career both locally and nationally. In terms of skilled athletes he is near the top of the scale. Seigler's polished approach and swing at the plate from both sides, is one the Hatfields and McCoys could agree on. Will always be an offensive catcher, but has the intangibles to lead a staff. Baseball player over everything, but do not sleep on the tools he does have. Could prove to be a steal on draft day as teams may shy away from the polished bat because of age.
