6-foot 170-pounds. Tampa commit. Davidson has true 2-way potential at division 2 powerhouse. He has been having a huge senior year both on the mound and at the plate. He shows athleticism in all assets of his game. On the mound he is a competitive strike thrower that will give his team a chance to win every time he steps on the mound. The FB was up to 82, down in the zone for heavy strikes. The CB can be thrown for strikes at any time, and he sticks with his approach even with runners on base.
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-11, 160-pounds. Highly athletic with lean muscle throughout.
Hit: R/R. Balanced setup, smooth load back with a short wrap, short stride, uses lower half well, great balance. Swing works short and quick to the zone, early timing, gets the barrel extended, gap-to-gap type hitter, ball can jump off the bat pull-side, consistently barrels the ball, creates hard contact.
Power: 93.46 max exit velocity, averaged 86.72 mph. 343.00’ max distance.
Arm: R/R. OF - 85.00 mph. Clean, loose arm action, over-the-top slot, throws are true and accurate, carry.
Defense: Plays through the ball athletically, fluid footwork, soft glove, clean on exchanges, covers ground very well.
Run: 6.73 runner in the 60.
Uncommitted. Davidson has an athletic build with plenty of room to fill out at 5-foot 11, 150lbs. From the lead off spot, Davidson displayed pull-side power and speed by hitting a gap shot that rolled to the LFC fence for an inside-the-park home run in his first AB on Saturday. Launched a home run over the LCF fence in his second AB. Powerful yet compact set up at the plate. Uses his lower half nicely to start swing. Has quick hands and gets barrel on plane early in swing. Gets extended and finishes swing at the top. Quick step out of the box for a RHH. Davidson serves as an offensive catalyst for his FCHS baseball team. Full of hustle and an exciting player to watch
