Tennessee Tech commit. 5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher, strong, sturdy build. Takes a power approach at the plate, uses the strength in his lower half to drive the ball to all fields. Got on the mound on Saturday and reached 87 with his fastball, took some off in order to gain more control, sitting 82-85.

5-foot-10, 190 pounds. All Cash does is hit and that was no different today. He tallied 2 hits and found barrel multiple times. The Tennessee Tech Commit continues to just hit every time he’s seen.

At 5-foot-10, 185-pounds Cash packs has plenty of strength and surprising agility to the hot corner. He plays quick and low to the ground on defense. His arm plays with 82 mph across the diamond. He runs & moves well enough for a corner profile turning in a 7.21 60 yard time. At the plate Cash whips the bat through the zone, really throwing his hips and generating power. He posted an impressive 94 mph exit velocity at the event and showed impressive pop during batting practice and during the live game portion. Cash profiles as a solid defender at third-base with all the tools to hit in the middle of a lineup at the next level.

With a strong showing at the 2019 Top Prospect Games, Donovan Cash is a arrow up kind of player. He is strong and compact at the plate with pull side power.  Donovan showed an impressive 94 mph exit velocity at the event, with the ability to get to this kind of strength in the power department.  He also defends with a low center of gravity and plenty of arm (82 mph velocity across the diamond).  Donovan is a good two-type athlete that will be able to defend and be a presence in the line-up and should prove to be a force for his Northgate High School team come the Spring.
