Uncommitted 5-foot-11 170-pounds. Lothridge had the biggest night at the plate going 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. All 3 balls had to be 90mph + off the bat. He is having a big sophomore year, and is really developing quickly at the plate. The load and steady bat path is key to his consistent, hard contact. He has the ability to cover all parts of the plate. He is getting more comfortable in the outfield, and was just shy of a web gem type play over his left shoulder in the gap. Lothridge will be a high follow into the summer, and will face some stout competition late in summer tournaments with the 16u Jackets National team.

6-foot 160-pounds. Lothridge has been on the list to see all spring. At first glance he looks stronger, more athletic and stands out on the field as a sophomore. He got 1 inning of work in preparation for region play on Wednesday. The wind-up delivery is effortless and has really tapped into his lower half strength since we last saw him in the summer. He was up to 86, but has more in the tank, and assume his velocity only climbs as the game progresses with his consistent delivery and arm path. The fastball down in the zone is a tough pitch for hitters to get to, it plays faster than it is and has late life that gets on hitters. The curveball was just as impressive with high spin. He was tunneling it out of the fastbal slot, and had it dropping out of the zone forcing hitters to swing over the top. Lothridge can also swing it at the plate. He had a double back side that nearly left the yard. He is a legit 2 way prospect as a sophomore, and will be a high follow this spring.

2/01/22

Lothridge is a bat to watch in the class. He keeps it simple at the plate with a sound swing. He works long and level through the zone allowing for consistent line drives to all fields. Lothridge has an athletic build at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds and will only get stronger and faster as he matures.
