Uncommitted. 6-foot-0, 200-pound frame with whip in the arm on the bump. CV was working early with a good feel for spin, topping at 2817 rpm at 79-77, tight spin that lived on the outer-half for whiffs. FB had control and command with called strikes on both sides of the plate, ran up to 89 and sat at 88-86 with ~2300 rpm. Flashed the CH sporadically in the low 80’s with lower spin at ~1800 rpm; which had depth and natural cut. A name to know and high follow for the incoming junior.

Uncommitted. Gainous made a big impact in the first round of the state playoffs for Thomas County Central. He started the game off with a solid back side line drive off of a quality arm. The swing is simple with easy rhythem that translates through contact. He has a strong lower half that drives the power at the plate and on the mound. He came up again later the game and had a 2 out SAC fly that would plate a key insurance run. St. Pius X managed to get 2 runners on to start the 7th, and Gainous was called on to close things out. He came in straight from 3B, and was pumping fastball 86-88 with easy life. He flashed the curveball in the low 70's for swing and miss. He forced a ground ball with the bases loaded for a double play to end the game. Gainous is going to be a big name that will be a riser in the 2026 class.
