Uncommitted. Johansen was a standout performer on both sides of the ball Sunday for Service Baseball. He started off the day with a barrel to the backside gap for a RBI single, later following that up with another backside RBI hit. He then was brought in relief on the mound and absolutely delivered, sitting in the low 80’s with the fastball and showing a good 3 pitch mix. Johansen has some really high upside on both sides, and the 2023 Junior Future Gamer continues to build on his impressive summer.

What I liked to see with Johansen was with how he worked the bat. He adjusted well during his swing to go inside-out and barrel the ball up the middle to begin the 3rd inning rally for Team Georgia. He displayed the ability to manipulate the barrel to make contact and his pitch recognition abilities. At just 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, he has room to fill out and gain power.

Power: 72 max exit velocity, averaged 70.4 MPH. 237' max distance. Pull side loft.
Arm: RH. INF-65 mph.Short, side arm arm action. Ball gets out at fast pace.
Defense: Good footwork with plenty of range and instincts. Smooth hands with subtle push thru ball.
