Uncommitted. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound right hander looked bigger than his stated stature and had long levers and room to grow in his frame. He was 85-89 his entire outing but struggled to command the fastball at 88-89 when he reached back for extra; when he sat 85-87 he pounded the outer half with fastball and had great success. He only flashed a couple breaking balls, mid 70’s, but they were not in the strike zone. If Lamar can maintain fastball command and gather feel for the breaking ball, he’s an arm who could begin to make some big jumps.
