Really athletic outfielder that plays the game hard. He is a gamer. Quick line-drive swing with some pop. Boyd started the day with a hustle double over the second baseman. Showed good instincts on the base paths. A plus defender in the outfield with range to the gaps and a strong arm. Uncommitted.

Body: 5-11, 183-pounds.
Defense: RH  OF - 86 mph. Plays fast in the field, covers substantial ground and is able to cover both gaps with speed and instincts.
Hit: RHH.  One of top uncommitted prospects in state. Square stance with easy load, inclined bat plane, flashes of hard contact, will add consistency with more leveled out path.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 6.70 runner in the 60.

Hit: RHH. Open stance, lower hand set, works up and through contact, shows good use of hands in swing, consistent hard contact, gap to gap approach.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. OF - 88 mph.
Defense: Athletic in field, works out front, has momentum on throws, good hand quickness through release. In game action is a plus defender in center-field with above avg. ability to cover both gaps.
Run: 6.58 runner in the 60.

5-foot-10, 176-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.90 runner. Compact athletic frame with strength, extra movements in load and swing, works uphill at times through contact, consistently squares baseball, shows pop in bat to pull side of field, 85 mph exit velocity. Plays low to ground and works through baseball, sure glove, fields cleanly, quick release on throws with solid carry and accuracy to target, 83 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; high leg kick with front foot outside knee, compact arm action, easier effort on release. Fastball was 75-76 mph with wobbly cut action to plate. Lands 12/6 breaking ball for strikes with inconsistent arm slot. Currently lacks feel for changeup; left short of plate and down in zone.

7/30/18- 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Athletic frame with lean strength. 4.31 H-1B time. Body load, double tap trigger, early rhythm in hands, shows power in bat with present strength, uses whole field, consistent hard contact, 84 mph exit velocity. Quick twitch action in field, works through ball, solid carry and accuracy, covers ground well in field, 85 mph arm strength from outfield. Strong follow in IA 2021 class.
