6/25/15: The 5-foot-7 160 pound ran a 7.41 60 yard dash.Avery produced a 81mph exit velocity.  He has a line drive approach with above average bat speed.  Good rhythm with a long stride.  Defensively,  pop times ranged between 2.14-2.3  Velocity from crouch was 69.  Quick feet and average arm strength behind the plate.  Good instincts and receiving.

5-foot-7, 165 pound catcher uses a low set up behind the plate.  Quiet receiver with good instincts.  Pop times ranged from 2.15-2.26 and was 71 mph from the crouch.  Offensively, uses a simple approach with a long stride.  Possesses above average bat speed and gets to extension finishing one handed.  Good balance throughout with good rhythm.  Line drive type hitter.

9/15/13: 5-foot-6, 157 pound sophomore was a 2.26-2.36 with his pop times and was 69 mph from the crouch.  Stays low when receiving, enabling his mobility left to right.  At the plate shows low hands from a crouch position.  Bat speed is quick with quick twitch in his hands.  Barreled up most baseballs with short, compact swing.  Finish is inconsistent.
