2017 Spring Scout Blog:  The 6'2", 180 pound Purdue commit showcased big arm from the outfield with carry. Loose, over the top arm action with a fast arm from centerfield. Delivered strong accurate throws during warmups to each base. Floats in the outfield with 6.6 speed. Hands and feet work through the baseball to field and transfer throws. Athletic setup from the right side, simple approach with big bat speed. Simple front leg lift to load with little weight getting separated and loaded on the back side. Has more room to create separation and power in swing. Good twitch and bat speed with current simple load, will create more in future by creating more separating and learning to use more in lower half. Good size and frame that has more room to fill out. Showcased pull side pop with double to left field in game. Athletic prospect with twitch.

2/20/16:
6-foot-2, 180 pounder ran a 6.66-60 and was 90 from the OF. Long, over the top arm action with good carry on his throws.  Possesses soft hands with fluid feet.  Clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball with some athleticism.  At the plate hits from an open stance.  Loads back.  Slight leg kick.  Average use of the lower half, tendency to over rotate. Coils. Good balance.  Quick bat speed.  Long swing path, line drive hitter.  High exit velocity of 94.
10/18/15: Athletic 6-foot-2, 180 pounds ran a 6.76-60 and was 94 from the OF.  Possesses quick feet defensively with solid actions.  Plenty of arm strength with carry.  At the plate hits from an athletic setup, no load.  Stride is short with average use of the lower half.  Good balance throughout.  Possesses quick bat speed.  Long, slightly uphill swing plane.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 96 off the tee.

9/15/13:
6-foot, 155 pound freshman showed a quick, strong arm from the OF at 81 mph.  Defensively, his actions are raw.  Plays the OF more like an IF.  Switch hitter.  From the left side his hands work, but the lower half lacks involvement.  From the right side, gets a little more use of the lower half, but still inconsistent.  Hands work from both sides of the plate.  Projects more on the mound where he works downhill with a good arm circle. High ¾ arm slot, downward angle on fastball. Slows everything down on off speed pitches. Fastball sat 74-79.  Two offspeed pitches: 63-65 breaking ball and 64-66 mph changeup. Very raw.
