6/11/19

6-foot, 190-pound OF. At the plate, starts in a relaxed stance with his bat steady by his shoulder, his hands low and his front foot slightly open. Strides towards the pitcher; stays inside the ball well; has a short and compact swing; 81 mph exit velocity. In OF, reads balls well and stays behind fly balls; 3/4 arm slot; 81 mph position velocity. Recorded a 60 time of 7.64.

2/23/2019: Bryce Blondell, OF/RHP, Elkhart Memorial HS, 2021, 5 foot 11, 190 pounds, hits from a balanced setup and uses small leg lift and simple separation to get to a quality launch position. Barrel is in the zone a long time and has bat speed. Had an exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.64 60 yard dash. From the outfield has good footwork and release and threw 82 mph.

9/16/18: Strong build 2021 grad outfielder hits from the right side. Uses a balanced tall setup in the box. Some hand wrap to load with a short stride to the baseball. Showed decent bat speed and posted and exit Velo of 84. Swing is loose and free with gap-to-gap ability and line drive approach. In the outfield showed good actions playing through the baseball. Exchange on throws was clean and arm is average at 75 with accuracy.


6/12/18: 2021 OF from Elkhart Memorial. Hits from right side, closed setup in box. Bat wrap with back and drop load. Stride is relatively long, stays balanced throughout swing though. Bat speed is slightly above average and showed pull side pop from a level to slightly uphill bat path through the zone. In the OF showed average footwork, exchange was clean but stiff throughout. Average arm strength.


10.14.17: 60 Time: 7.98 , Position Velocity: OF-72, Exit Velocity: 82. 5-foot-11, 165 pound freshman outfielder works from a squatty setup from the right side, long path to the baseball, driving pull side with lift. Average bat speed for age, uses good balance and base to load and start swing. Hands drift away and get long to enter the zone with the barrel working flat off the back shoulder, late at time to contact. Shoulders and upper half work uphill out of the zone to pull the baseball with lift to left side, average lower half. Good extension out front when on time. Corner outfielder, high arm action delivered accurate throws to bases. More footspeed and arm strength to be developed. Average hands and footwork to throw, exchange is clean.
