6/13/17:  6-foot-1, 170 pound outfielder has above average bat speed with line drive approach from the left side.  Smooth, repeatable load.  Creates slightly uphill path with high barrel awareness.  Top exit velocity of 86mph.  Quick foot speed, aggressive on base paths.  Ran a 6.88 laser-timed 60yd dash.  Defensively, covers ground with quick, choppy steps.  Plays through the ball.  Arm strength has improved.  Loose, long 3/4 slot with accurate throws.  Velocity topped at 83.

2017 Spring Scout Blog:  6-foot-1, 170 pound uncommitted junior continues to impress with his line drive approach and versatility at the plate.  Consistently barreling the baseball.  Patient, understands the strike one.  Quick foot speed.  Average arm strength in the outfield, moves well gap to gap.  Ability to lay one down for a hit and take bases with his speed.  

3/29/17 Game Notes: 6-foot-1 170 pound left-handed hitting outfielder is scrappy in the box.  Used all fields, showed bunt for a hit multiple times, and had a stolen base.  Bat speed is above average with a long path.  Actions are athletic in the outfield with average arm strength.  Farren ended up going 1-3 with a walk and a run scored.

6/21/16: The 6 foot 1 170 pound outfielder ran a 6.73 60 yd dash.  Arm action is long and throws topped at 81.  Footwork is choppy with a clean exchange.  Hits from an athletic stance and long stride.  Balance is good with average bat speed.  Bat path is level while producing line drives.  Fluid actions offensively.  Needs to fill in physically.

2/21/16: Athletic 6-foot-1, 170 pounder ran a 7.18-60.  From the OF was 82 a loose high 3/4 arm action.  Twitch actions, soft hands quick feet.  Quick/clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball with athleticism.  Offensively, hits from an open setup, loads back.  Tendency to dive during the stride.  Average use of his lower half with good balance.  Above average bat speed, level swing plane.  Pull side hitter.  High exit velocity of 77. 

9/20/15: Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds.  Ran a 7.03-60.  Possesses athletic actions in the field with soft hands and fluid feet.  Exchange is quick and clean and plays through the baseball with athleticism.  Loose arm action from a ¾ slot up to 83 mph with accuracy.  Left handed hitter hits from a balanced stance, loads back with a long stride.  Average bat speed with a short path to the baseball.  Line drive type hitter with some pop to his pull-side.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 77 mph. 

7/27/15: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds.  Showcased sure hands in the outfield with quick feet.  Exchange is clean and plays through the baseball.  Long, high ¾ arm action with average arm strength at 77 mph.  Offensively, hits from a tall, open setup.  Small load back, tends to dive during his stride.  Shows good balance.  Bat speed is average.  Short, level path to the baseball.  Will continue to get better offensively as he matures and fills out.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 77 mph.
