4/15/2019 Spring Scout Blog: 5-foot-9, 175 pound frame. Patient, athletic hitter from the right-side. Good pitch recognition and discipline. Good swing plane and balance throughout his swing. 4.44 down the line.
2/16/2019: Christian Williams, C/OF, Carmel HS, 2020, 5 foot 9, 175 pounds, ran a 6.93, threw 80 mph from the OF and 80 mph from the crouch, and had an exit velo of 85 mph. Uses small controlled leg lift to load and has great separation in his forward move to hit. Barrels consistently with good swing plane and balance throughout the swing. From behind the plate shows arm strength with good transfer and hands to release. Footwork is a little long and his throws weren’t accurate at this event. Pop times ranged 2.04-2.1.
