2/26/17:  The 6-foot-2, 168 pound infielder has a smooth load, getting foot down on time.  Added a toe tap, foot gets into long stride as hands load back.  Quick barrel.  Level, long path.  Exit velocity topped at 84mph.  Defensively, hands are above average with clean transfer.   Quick feet, plays through the ball well.  Throws topped at 85 from the infield, 86 in the outfield.  On the mound, throws from a high 3/4 slot with a quick wrist.  Delivery is repeatable.  Rotates on front foot at land.  Breaking ball has depth with 11/5 shape at 69-71.  Change-up has some fade at 75-76.

6/21/16: The 6 foot 2, 165 pound right handed pitcher showcased an overtop arm action with a straight fastball topping at 78.  Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with gradual break and sat 62-63mph.   Threw strikes with a delivery that stays in line and has some effort.  Offensively, he has a tall setup with short stride and average usage of the lower half.  Bat speed is above average.  Exit velo topped at 81mph.  Dawson ran a 6.89 60yd dash.  Defensively, arm strength is average and hands were average.  Raw actions with capability of becoming smoother up the middle.

2/21/16: 6-foot-2, 165 pounder ran a 7.06-60 and was 79 across the infield. Sure hands, quick arm. Ability to get rid of it.  At the plate hits from a tall, open setup, short stride.  Drifts to the ball.  Has some hand speed.  Average lower half, tends to over rotate .  Level swing path.  High exit velo of 80.  PITCHING: Pitches from a long high 3/4 arm action with quick arm speed.  Good balance point, regular effort.  Drop and drive delivery.  Shows some rhythm.  Fastball was 79-81.  Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with early action at 66-70. Changeup was thrown with near fastball arm speed showin fade and run at 69-72. 

12/6/15: 6-foot-1, 160 pounder ran a 7.07-60.  Athletic frame.  Possesses average hands in the field  with average foot speed.  Long exchange, tendency to field on his heels.  Quick arm produces arm strength at 80 mph with some carry.  Offensively hits from a wide setup, toe-tap, small load.  Long stride.  Average use of his lower half.  Possesses average bat speed, level swing plane.  Produces hard hit line drives. Recorded a high exit velocity of 77 mph.  Pitches from an over the top to high ¾ slot, quick arm speed.  Short arm action.  Good balance point.  Max effort with some rhythm in the delivery.  Level sholders, good line to the plate.  Finishes athletic.  Fastball was hard and thrown for a strike at 80-81.  Breaking ball showed a 12/6 shape with gradual break at 66-69.  Changeup was kept down in the zone but erratic at 71-72.
