3/30/18 Spring Scout Blog: Northern Illinois commit. 6-foot-3, 215 pound righty from Columbus East showed some swing and miss stuff mixed in with some opening day inconsistency. Fastball was 80-86 with run. Pitch was thrown on the outer half most of the game and was driven to the outfield when flattened. Curveball was 11/5 with near FB arm speed and thrown for strikes on the outer half. Changeup was straight with flashes of slight fade at 73-75. Sturdy body with above average arm speed. High 3/4 slot and loose on the backside. Good balance through the delivery and falls off 1B side.
