2/17/18:  6-foot, 180 pound right-handed pitcher has tempo and rhythm down the mound.  Long arm swing into a high 3/4 slot.  Lands squared, firm.  Shoulders stay in line.  Fastball sat 81-82, up to 85.  Has more run, sink when low  80's with the fastball.  Breaking ball has early, 11/5 shape.  Repeats delivery.  Fields with average hands and flat footwork.  Plays through the ball.  Short, high 3/4 slot.  Throws had carry and accuracy.  In the box, Vanover hits with a long, pull side approach.  Average bat speed.  Over rotation of the lower half at times.  High exit velocity of 86mph.
 
6/13/17:  6-foot, 195 pound pitcher throws from a high 3/4 slot with a drop and drive type delivery.  He sat 79-81 with a straight fastball commanded well in the zone.  Breaking ball has slurve-type break at 61-65.  Lacked sharpness.  Change-up sat 67-70 with arm side fade.  Repeatable delivery with a physical frame. Hits from a balanced setup with compact swing.  High exit velocity of 83.  Average use of lower half.  Defensively, plays flat footed with clean transfer and accurate throws.  Top velocity across the infield was 75mph. 

2017 Spring Scout Blog:  5-foot-11, 185 pound sophomore pitched two innings (7th & 8th), allowing five hits while also striking out five.  Fastball sat 80-83, touching 84 twice. Breaking ball was 68-70 with slurvey type action, but flashed a couple with sharp break.  Pitches from a 3/4 slot with quick arm speed.  Has more in the tank.  

6/21/16: The 5 foot 11 185 pound infielder showcased a balanced setup with a short stride and average balance.  Backside tends to collapse.  Bat speed is above average with a good line drive approach.  Has some physicality for his age, but will need to use body better as he matures.  Defensively, hands were average and exchange was clean.  Throws topped at 76 across the infield.  Jack also ran a 7.28 60yd dash.

2/21/16: 5-foot-11, 185 pounder ran a 7.47-60 and was 76 across the diamond.  Showcased sure hands. Needs to continue to quicken up his footwork.  Raw actions, but young.  Short, high 3/4 arm action across the diamond.  Offensively, hits from a wide, slightly open setup.  Loads back, short stride.  Average use of his lower half with good balance.  Quick hand speed.  Fair approach.  Showed gap-to-gap type power.  High exit velocity of 83.  On the mound was up to 79 with his fastball with a 61-66 CB and 64-68 CH.
