4/12/16 GAME NOTES: Tulane commit stands 6-1 and about 185 pounds. Picked up a CG game win striking out 8 and allowing just three hits. Fastball showed some run when down and sat 85-88 touching 89 a couple of times in the fourth. Pitch did have tendency to be up in the zone with some command trouble mid way through the game. Slider had 2/8 shape and was thrown few times at 75-77. Delivery was quick and confident with some heavy effort. Pick off was effective with considerable deception to first.
4/14/15 GAME NOTES: The 6-foot-1 uncommitted southpaw pitched a complete game last night at Carmel, striking out 11 hitters while walking two in the 7-1 victory. He sat 86-88, touching 89 five times throughout the first three innings of work while the rest of the night he sat more 85-87, touching 88 occasionally. In the last inning he threw a couple of fastballs at 82-84, but finished the inning back at 86-87. He showed a sharp breaking slider at 79-81, consistently getting swing and misses. Cantleberry pitches predominately out of the stretch with a rushed delivery using max effort. He pitches from a high 3/4 slot with quick arm speed. At times he was a little erratic, missing up with both his fastball and offspeed, but showed the ability to settle down quickly. He also showed a good pick-off move to first.
2/22/15: The 6-foot-1, 180 pound southpaw impressed with a fastball sitting consistently at 86-87, touching 88. He pitches from a high 3/4 slot with very quick arm speed. Quick, rushed delivery that appears violent at times. Showcased plus secondary stuff; 82-83 slider with sharp break and an 81-83 changeup with arm-side run and occasional sink.
6/25/14: 6 foot, 180 pounds, Athletic pitcher, throws from a ¾ slot with a loose easy delivery. Fastball was 82-84 mph with heavy downhill plain that would elevate with effort and velocity. Slider was 68-70 mph and serviceable with gradual break, Changeup was 69 mph with life and in the zone.
3/15/19: A junior college transfer from San Jacinto (Tex.), Cantleberry slowed down the Razorback offense allowing just two runs on five hits in six innings on Friday night. He featured a plus changeup at 77-79 mph while mixing in a 87-90 mph fastball and a fringe average 77-79 mph curveball. He has a quick paced and deceptive delivery, almost running through his motion to the plate at times. (Seifert)
