4/1/17 Game Notes: Louisville commit threw just three innings striking out six of nine batters in a dominant start of the season appearance. Fastball was erratic in the zone and got a lot of swing and misses. Worked quick. The tall lefty sat 85-86 in the first two innings and 86-87 in the third touching 88 with some arm side run. Slider flashed some sharpness with 2/8 shape and thrown 67-72.
6/24/16: 6-foot-4, 185 pound southpaw sat 78-82, running it up to 83. Works at a quick pace, choppy rhythm. Arm slot was inconsistent between a 3/4 and high 3/4. When staying around the 3/4 slot he showed good command with some cut action. When raising the arm slot higher the fastball was more inconsistent in the zone, usually leaving it up. Flashed a couple of sharp breaking balls with slurvey type action at 68-70. Mechanically needs refined, but shows good potential.
6/22/15: Projectable 6-foot-4, 165 pound southpaw pitches from a short, high ¾ arm action with some arm speed. Tilt/topple delivery with some effort and rhythm. Level shoulders, good line to the plate. Lands open, finishes athletic. Fastball was 77-80 with slight run in towards RHH hitters. Breaking ball was 63-67, 2/8 shape with gradual break. Changeup was thrown with near fastball arm speed at 67-68 with some fade.
2/22/15: Tall, lanky 6-foot-4, 160 pound southpaw uses works at a quick pace and showcased a loose, quick arm action. Fastball possesses tons of movement at 77-78. Breaking ball morphed at times showing a 12/6 shape while the other had more of a sweeping action. His changeup sat 74-75 with some cut and sink action. Frame and arm action suggests he'll see a velocity jump in the near future.
